it pleased the Lord to bruise him

the Innocent Man was found guilty
by those 12 strangers

thousands of Christians prayed
thousands of prayers went out
for this dear believer falsely accused of
a horrible crime

we prayed in faith
we prayed in unity
we prayed without ceasing
we prayed believing
we prayed in worship

we prayed, and prayed and prayed

however, we pray,
"not our will, but thine."

this is the Lord's will
and it will take all of the Lord's grace,
mercy, strength and peace
to walk this path.

i
am
devastated

"yet though He slay me,
still I will praise Him."

either God is 100% sovereign
or He isn't sovereign at all.

i
choose
to
believe

  1. Amen, dear friend. Praying for you all in this part of the journey...

"Blessed be The GOD and Father of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, The Father of mercies and GOD of all comfort,

Who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by GOD." 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

  2. Praying, We do not know God's plan. Praying that through it all the Innocent man will be a witness to those around and that he will let himself be used by God to fulfill God's purpose in all this. Praying for courage and strength for all concerned. Think about the apostles who were imprisoned and how many came to Christ through their witness.

  5. Hi Mindy, My dearest sister, I can't feel or imagine your pain and anguish, and it's trite to say it, but the Lord knows it, He feels it with you and He's holding you in the palm of His hand. When all the world forsakes He IS still there. Hold on tight. With all my heart & prayers - Teresa (I don't have a google account yet so this will come as annony but it's me just the same.)

  6. Bless you darling. I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. Your example of faith speaks volumes to those of us following your blog. I pray for God to sustain you and your family during this painful time. God bless you, dear one! I do pray there will be blessings in the future that wouldn't have happened if he had been declared innocent. I'm so sorry you are having to go through all this.

  7. Tough call.

But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. Psalm 3:3 (ESV)

Praying for God to lift you up. He has a plan.

  8. Your pain is His pain. Shared pain. Familiar pain. But all pain is transformed through/by His love.

  9. I sometimes wonder how God can possibly endure seeing His loved ones suffer such heartache. We know He loves - the cross proved that - so we know He is far from indifferent to our sufferings. If things like this rend us to the limits of our endurance, then what do they do to the heart of God who loves to the point of giving His Son? How does He bear it??
Then I realize that He does like we do - He shares His grief with His close friends. He lets me share in the sorrows of His heart and feel His pain. It is easier, you know, to endure when you have someone to share it with. There is mutual comfort in knowing the other person feels your pain, isn't there?

  10. Mindy I am so sorry to hear this. I was praying this morning and realized I hadn't checked in for news. Now I know. I am so sorry.

We do not understand the ways of the Lord or of unanswered prayer.

So we continue to pray and lift you up as you walk this difficult road.

I pray God's peace and comfort over your entire family today.

  13. It is hard to remember He is sovereign in times of sorrow, but these are the times it's most important.
My prayers for you and him in this difficult time.
