I'm So Very, Very Tired

I'm tired.

Not just the "I need more sleep" kinda' tired,
although I don't get enough sleep.

Not just the "I'm really busy" kinda' tired,
although I'm really, really busy.

It's not even the "there are many demands on my life" kinda' tired,
although there are a lot of demands on my life.

I feel spiritually, physically and emotionally exhausted.

But, I can't say, "life is too hard"
because it isn't.

I can't say "the trials are unbearable"
because they aren't.

I can't say "I can't go on"
because of the grace of the Lord,
and His mercies that are new each morning,
I know I will wake up and somehow
have the strength
to face
just
one
more
day.

But, I do admit to being tired.
Very, very tired.

Praise the Lord, I won't be tired long.

Jeremiah 31:25
"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

I have a great reason to press on.

Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not.

So, just gunna' get me a little sleep,
a little refreshing from the Lord
and wait for that due season...

...praying I reap a bountiful harvest.

  3. I LOVE those verses. What an encouragement!!!! What about having some quiet time with your kids? I bet you already do that! :) Homeschooling must be overwhelming at times...and routine at times too. If you're modeling a healthy way of regaining energy--in the Lord, they'll learn it too.:) Just use that as a great excuse to re-fill your cup!!!!!!! I know that God's given you children because you CAN provide insight, example, as well as joy and love to them. You are incredibly blessed. :) I'll be lifting you up in prayer :)

  4. Wow, this is really similar to my blog post from last night! Yesterday was a "tired" day for me as well. Thank you for pressing on, and for sharing glimpses of your life with us both as a testimony of God's grace and as a reminder to keep your requests before the throne...
