Titus 1:2
"in hope of eternal life
which
God, who cannot lie,
promised before time began"
Hebrews 6:18
...that by two immutable things, in which
it is impossible for God to lie,
we might have strong consolation,
who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
GOD CANNOT BE TEMPTED BY EVIL:
James 1:13
Let no one say when he is tempted,
“I am tempted by God”;
for God cannot be tempted by evil,
nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
GOD CANNOT DENY HIMSELF:
2 Timothy 2:13
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself.
GOD CANNOT BE PLEASED APART FROM FAITH:
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Psalm 40:5
Many, O LORD my God,
are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.
We love to rejoice in all that our Great God and Heavenly Father CAN do...
We also need to rejoice in all the things our God CANNOT do.
Because He cannot lie, His Word is all Truth.
Because He cannot be tempted by evil, He can overcome evil.
Because He cannot deny Himself, He cannot deny those who have trusted Christ as their Savior. They are secure in their hope for eternal life.
We can REJOICE that God cannot be pleased apart from faith,
because it leaves salvation,
totally in the nail-pierced hands of His Son.
Thank you for the reminders. I noticed you hadn't posted in awhile and was wondering if you were okay. Glad to see you posting again. :)
