Scenery Is Always Better Thru Hubby's Window

Almost always,
when we drive somewhere,
I have my camera on my lap.
I have this investigative reporter thing.
I keep thinking I just might see something exciting,
or beautiful,
or miraculous,
or suspicious.

But, I soon realized,
all the good stuff is
on my hubby's side of the highway.

Scenery Is Always Better
Thru Hubby's Window

The trees were greener and oranger
on his side of the highway.

The volcanic mountain was more majestic,
on his side of the highway.

Of course, the hot air balloon was
on his side of the highway.

The prairie of North Dakota was flatter
and the skies were bluer,
on his side of the highway.

The mountains of Montana were more striking,
on his side of the highway.

The forests of Washington were more dense and green,
on his side of the highway.

The deer and the antelope liked to play,
on his side of the highway.

Lake Helena was more deliciously blue,
on his side of the highway.

The train was thinking it could,
on his side of the highway.

The sunset warmed our hearts and minds,
but,
on his side of the highway.

  1. You're too funny. "The train that thought it could" and "the deer and the antelope play" = too tricky!
As I read the blog I was guessing that for sure the last reason would be because you get to look at your wonderful husband as you looked out his window. You did not. I was surprised. ;) It was still a fun blog!

  2. The other side of the highway is alway better, huh? Thank you for commenting on my posts. You are always so encouraging. Would it ever be okay to e-mail you to ask you some questions? You seem like a wise mommy.
